Meet your driver/guide at 8:30 AM. See the splendor of Plato's Greece. This itinerary takes you southward across Sicily's scenic Sicanian Mountains to the ancient Greek temples of Agrigento, which boasts some of the most majestic classical Greek architecture in the world. Akragas, as it was known in antiquity, was one of the most important cities of the Greek world, a center of culture and learning said to rival Syracuse and Athens. Our tour begins with a visit of the archaeology museum on the edge of the vast park. Following time at leisure for lunch (not included), we'll explore the ancient city and temples, set amidst timeless olive groves and almond orchards. Then we return to Palermo. Travel time between Palermo and Agrigento is about 90 minutes.

If there are more than eight persons in your tour you'll have a Tour Director who travels with you and a licensed Tour Guide on the spot to visit Temple Valley per maximum 2 hours. The visit to the Archaeological Museum will be independent.

If there are between six and eight persons in your tour you'll have a Driver Escort and a licensed Tour Guide on the spot to visit Temple Valley per maximum 2 hours. The visit to the Archaeological Museum will be independent.

If there are fewer than six persons in your group you'll have a driver-guide. In practice, the difference is that the driver guides cannot lecture clients within certain archaeological or historical areas while the other guides can, so a driver-guide will explain the history of the sites before you enter. The visit to the Temple Valley and the Archaeological Museum will be independent.

- Valley of Temples, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world and a Unesco world heritage site since 1998. Along a long rocky scarp, chosen as the southern limit of the town, are still sited the great temples of ancient Akragas: the Temple of Hera (Juno) Lacinia, Concordia, Heracles (Hercules), Olympian Zeus (Jupiter), Castor and Pollux (Dioscuri) and Hephaistos (Vulcan).
- Archaeological Museum, who offers a fine introduction to the splendors of ancient Akragas and gives an insight into the life of the Greek settlers.
